About Ulster Hose Co. 5
Our district is approximately 13 square miles, covering the county’s shopping and manufacturing hub, the Hudson Valley Mall, the future iPark87, two elementary schools, a middle school, and a population of approximately 7,000 residents.
The company – which staffs the fire district – is all volunteer with 70+ active members, and we provide fire and EMS response, as well as fire prevention and community outreach programs.

Attention residents of the 5th District of the Town of Ulster: On December 9, 2025, the Board of Fire Commissioners will be holding its annual election at the Ulster Hose Headquarters, 830 Ulster Avenue, from 6pm to 9pm.
