The Ulster Hose Fire Department is located in the Town of Ulster, NY.  The Town of Ulster is located in Ulster County and  is approximately 27.5 square miles and is bordered by the City of Kingston and the Towns of Kingston, Saugerties, HurleyWoodstock, and Rosendale.

The Ulster Hose Fire Department protects the 5th fire District of the Town of Ulster, which is approximately 13 square miles consisting of over 6873 residents. We also cover the counties shopping and manufacturing hub, which contains over 12 major shopping chains, the Hudson Valley Mall along with numerous other smaller stores and business.  So with employees and shoppers alike the population we protect nearly doubles during the day.

The Ulster Hose Fire Department supports two stations within the district.  Our main headquarters is located at 830 Ulster Avenue.  This station houses two Engines, an Engine Tanker, a Tower Ladder, a Straight Stick, a Heavy Rescue, dive boats, a Rescue vehicle and an EMS vehicle.  At Station 2 which is located at 2333 State Route 9w on the northern end of our district houses an Engine, a Mini Pumper and a Haz-Mat Trailer.

The Ulster Hose Fire Department consistently responds to 1,000+ calls yearly.
