About Ulster Hose Co. 5

Our district is approximately 13 square miles, covering the county’s shopping and manufacturing hub, the Hudson Valley Mall, the future iPark87, two elementary schools, a middle school, and a population of approximately 7,000 residents.

The company – which staffs the fire district – is all volunteer with 70+ active members, and we provide fire and EMS response, as well as fire prevention and community outreach programs.

In 2012, Fred Heppner unveiled the 9/11 memorial containing a 3,300 pound steel section from one of the Twin Towers. It was donated to Ulster Hose by the New York MTA.
