At approximately 2305 hours last night, Ulster Hose was dispatched for a reported house fire on Sawmill Road. First arriving units had heavy smoke and fire showing from the first floor with fire also on the second floor and a second alarm was transmitted. Engine 3 arrived first due and stretched the first line in and secured their own water source. Engine 4 arrived shortly after and stretched an additional line. Truck 1 conducted primary searches of the residence, turning up negative. Engine 2 and Glasco assisted with the extensive overhaul. The fire was determined to be accidental due to an electrical issue. Assisting at the scene was the Kingston Fire FAST Team, Mobile Life Support, the fire investigation unit, and Ulster PD. Ruby, Centerville Cedar Grove, and Port Ewen covered the rest of the district.
