On Monday, December 23rd at approximately 1407 hours, UHFD was dispatched for a one car rollover accident with rollover and possible ejection at Mile Marker 92.5 on the New York State Thruway. Car 1 arrived to find one vehicle resting atop the guardrail on the side of the interstate heading northbound. Engine 1 arrived to assist with stabilization of the vehicle and tending to patients from the vehicle, which was 7 in total. Rescue 3 arrived to assist on scene and manage traffic, which was heavy due to the upcoming holidays. UHFD worked on scene with three units from Empress Ambulance Services and the New York State Police.
