On Wednesday, March 19th at approximately 1240 hours, Ulster Hose was dispatched under mutual aid with units 61-10 (Engine 4) and 61-12 (Truck 1) to West Hurley Fire Department for a reported house explosion and active structure fire at 3 Brueckner Lane. Upon arrival, members from both pieces assisted in fire suppression and overhaul at the scene. Unfortunately, this was a fatal fire, and UHFD extends its condolences to the families of the victims. Investigations later found that leaking propane was to blame for the blast.
