Ulster Hose members mourn the loss of life member James R. “Jim” Williams, who passed away on May 17, 2025. Williams joined the department on April 25, 1966. He reached life status after 25 years of service in 1991.
His father, William J. Williams Sr., was a founding member of the department. His brother, William J. “Bill” Williams, is a current life member and past chief, serving in that position from 1967 to 1992 (after joining on July 22, 1963). His nephew, William E. “Billy” Williams Jr., joined the department in 1986 and is also a life member.
