At approximately 1224 hours, UHFD was dispatched for a car into a building at Wiedy’s Furniture on Route 28. Units 61-15 (Engine 1) and 61-20 (Engine 3) arrived to find all occupants out of the vehicle and significant damage to a corner office of the business. Unit 61-13 (Rescue 3) arrived and sent members to the interior with Car 2, where a light smoke condition was found to be in the structure. Further investigation showed the source of the smoke to be the vehicle itself, which was pulled away from the building.
