On June 5th at approximately 0839 hours, Ulster Hose was dispatched for a medical emergency at the L.L. Bean Store for a male having a possible stroke on the roof of the location. Within a minute units were on the road; Car 1 requested Truck 1 to the scene for a possible patient removal from the roof. Rescue 4 arrived and accessed the patient through an interior roof hatch, beginning initial patient care. The patient was then carefully packaged using the Stokes Basket, which was attached to the tower ladder using a cradle technique and was removed from the roof to the ground. He was then transferred to the care of Empress ALS.
