At approximately 1900 hours on Sunday, November 17th, five members aboard Unit 61-20 (Engine 3) responded to Greenwood Lake (Orange County) for the Jennings Creek wildfire there, deploying for a 12 hour shift. Departments from around NYS and teams from outside the state have been battling the blaze for over a week.
This is the second deployment for your UHFD volunteers for a significantly sized wildfire, having gone to the now contained and controlled Peekamoose Mountain incident.
