On Thursday, October 31st at approximately 1930 hours, UHFD was dispatched with unit 61-10 (Engine 4) to establish a landing zone at the New York State Police Barracks on Route 209 for the Hurley Fire Department, who were operating at a serious car versus motorcycle personal injury auto accident. A little over a week later, on Friday, November 8th at approximately 1431 hours, UHFD was dispatched to their own motorcycle personal injury auto accident on Route 28. The injuries sustained by the rider of the motorcycle were significant enough for the request of a medivac, which Engine 4 would handle once again.
