On Friday, July 24th at approximately 1006 hours, Ulster Hose was dispatched for a 2-car motor vehicle accident in the area of Flatbush Rd and Koenig Blvd, 1 car was reported to be rolled over with entrapment. Car 3 and Rescue 4 arrived and confirmed that one car was on its side with patient still in trapped in the vehicle. Engine 1 arrived shortly after and begin to stabilize the vehicle using struts. Once the vehicle was secured, extrication began. Members rolled the roof of the vehicle to gain better access to the patient. Patient was then safely extricated and turned over to Empress EMS for further evaluation and transported to Kingston Hospital. While units were picking up, 911 was dispatching units for an additional MVA on the NYS Thruway. No injuries were reported at that incident and units were quickly inservice.
